On April 18, a lecture on “Ukraine, Russian propaganda, and Norwegian media” took place. This time the speaker was Bjоrn Johan Berger, a Norwegian blogger, a member of the Board of the Norwegian-Ukrainian Friendship Society, and a freelance author for several Norwegian newspapers and magazines. Bjоrn introduced students to the mood in Norway, characterizing it as “deep historical calm” and “naivety.” At the same time, he noted that the younger generation of Norwegians demonstrates a high level of media literacy.

I had a very cool opportunity to speak via Zoom with a leading biologist and science popularizer, Sean Carroll. Sean B. Carroll is an American evolutionary biologist, author, educator and executive producer. Carroll was an executive producer on The Furthest, a film about the Voyager program that won the 2018 Emmy Award for Outstanding Documentary Feature on Science and Technology. The project aims to collect and publish, in Ukrainian and English, the life stories of civilians undergoing external rehabilitation after being injured as a result of military operations in Ukraine. These stories will include people with different life experiences, professions and views, and will show how they are rebuilding their lives, finding new meaning and overcoming personal and social challenges. We will look at their psychological journey, the development of a new self-identity and the reaction of society to their changes.
On June 7, 2025, the General Assembly of the NGO “Student Journalism Platform” was held. During the meeting, members of the organization approved reports on activities carried out from Q4 2023 to Q1 2025, discussed accomplishments, and outlined future directions for the coming years.
