The head of the Pentagon, Lloyd Austin, made this announcement during a meeting in the “Ramstein” format.

“I am very pleased that the United States is announcing a new security assistance package for Ukraine, totaling $200 million,” Austin stated.

At the same time, on his official Telegram page, the President of Ukraine mentioned:

“Ukraine can endure. It will endure. However, it is crucial to disarm our enemy. What are Russia’s strengths? Honestly, only their ability to disrupt lives. Russia is incapable of anything else. Security donor? No. Development contributor? No. Political pole? No. Source of economic growth? No. Terrorist? Yes. The only one! Threatening Ukraine and many other nations. This tool of terror must be taken away from Russia – the tool of terror. The answer is anti-air defense and other types of armament.”

The overall U.S. aid package includes ammunition for new anti-aircraft systems, which will soon be delivered to Ukraine, missile and artillery ammunition, as well as precision aviation ammunition and equipment to counter Russian drones.

Austin emphasized that as a result, the total value of military assistance to Ukraine from the United States has grown to $43.9 billion since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion.

It’s worth noting that the United States will transfer thousands of confiscated weapons and ammunition from Iran to Ukraine, which will assist in the fight against Russian aggression. Meanwhile, the United Nations demands that the confiscated weapons be destroyed or stored.
