The aim of the project is to inform through journalistic materials about the rights of women, their uniqueness, and necessity. The main principles of the project’s editorial policy are impartiality, credibility, and openness. As a result, journalistic materials will be collected regarding established laws for the protection of women in different countries, as well as violations of these laws. Gender equality is crucial worldwide, and respect for women should be irrespective of their status, mentality, or preferences.

Key Project Objectives:

  1. Examine the state of gender rights and gender equality in contemporary society.
  2. Highlight issues related to the protection of women’s rights.
  3. Define the significance of gender equality.
  4. Identify the influence of gender divisions on everyday life.
  5. Publish the legal foundations for women’s rights in various countries around the world.

Project Rationale: Women worldwide are often stereotypically perceived as sentimental and romantic individuals, incapable of making decisions, which men can easily handle. However, times have changed, and women not only establish their businesses and develop their own brands but also influence the course of events worldwide, leading countries or governments. Therefore, this project aims to shed light on the importance of protecting women’s rights and dispelling myths about the “weaker sex.” It will contribute to better mutual understanding regarding gender equality.

The project can be especially essential for elucidating the legal principles of different countries worldwide. Despite significant global changes, society occasionally attempts to exert pressure on women and limit their rights. Additionally, special attention is given to the violence perpetrated by the opposite gender against women, viewing them as sexual objects or subjects of abuse.

The project’s goal is not only to highlight a current issue but also to engage others in its development within the framework of the project.

Target Audience: The project is intended for women of various ages, as well as men of the same age group, as they also play an integral role in shaping gender democracy.

Project Implementation: The project will be implemented by a team of 3rd-year students majoring in Journalism at the V.I. Vernadsky Taurida National University in cooperation with the NGO “Student Journalism Platform”.
