Among those who were forced to evacuate, there are many Ukrainian families who had to start life anew in an unfamiliar environment. Despite the challenges they face, many of these Ukrainians continue to actively participate in social and political life.
The proposed project aims to shed light on the experience of Ukrainian men and women who settled in Canada and Germany after the start of the large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Canada and Germany were among the best destinations for Ukrainian refugees due to their welcoming immigration policies and strong support for human rights.
The project aims to provide a comprehensive view of their lives, exploring their struggles and victories, as well as their contribution to the communities in which they now live.
