Return of Nine Children from Occupied Kherson

On October 9th, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, announced in his Telegram channel the return of nine children from the occupied Kherson region.

“From now on, five girls and four boys will live in comfortable conditions and psychological safety. The children’s ages range from 5 to 14 years old. In total, since the beginning of 2023, 121 children from Kherson region have been successfully returned to the territory under Ukraine’s control”, Oleksandr Prokudin stated.

About Children from Temporary Occupied Territories (TOT)

On September 14th, the Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, stated that since the establishment of a separate coordination headquarters for children, 386 young Ukrainians have been returned home. These are exclusively the children who were deported to the territory of the Russian Federation. At the same time, the count of children returned from the occupation will be conducted separately.

On October 5th, it became known that an additional 19 children have been returned home.
