Norwegian Model of Freedom of Speech: Registration Now Open for the Course

The NGO “Platform for Student Journalism” has united three universities to implement an ambitious project, with the first step being an English-language course titled “The Norwegian Model of Freedom of Speech for Ukrainian Journalism Students.”

The course is organized by the NGO “Platform for Student Journalism” in collaboration with Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University, National Aviation University and King Danylo University.

What will you learn?

• How media operates in Norway and its role in a democratic society;
• What kind of information interests the Norwegian audience;
• What news delivery approaches are used in Norway;
• How to build an international professional network with Norwegian journalists and media experts.

Speakers:

The lecturers are renowned Norwegian journalists, media experts, and social communication specialists:
Bjørn Johan Berger, Mathias Vedeler, and Aadne Aasland.

Course duration:

April 28 – May 12
Total: 3 lectures (6 academic hours)
Classes will take place every Monday.

Technical requirements: stable internet connection, camera turned on and functioning microphone.

Classes will be held via Zoom. A link will be sent to registered participants.
