We are looking for new journalists to join our team!

The NGO “Student Journalism Platform” invites active, creative, and caring young people to join the work of our online publication Truthful Reporting.

We are currently working on grant projects to cover the war through the eyes of Ukrainians from different walks of life. These include students, volunteers, journalists, teachers and public figures. In our work we pay special attention to young people who, despite great difficulties, continue to make their contribution to Ukraine’s victory.

The task of our journalists:

• To tell about the experience of Ukrainians during the full-scale war, how they are overcoming difficulties and fighting against the challenges of the times;
• To collect the truth about the real situation in Ukraine and convey it to the world. The testimonies of our people, documenting the crimes of Russia that they have seen or experienced, can help further the neccesary investigations.

The format we are working on most at the moment is interviews, but we also want to develop other areas, including podcasts in different languages, reporting of different formats (video, text), etc. Therefore, we are not limited to one format and are happy to accept and discuss ideas for the development of our publication.

If you are a student of journalism or a related field (or have already graduated), if you are interested in what is happening in Ukraine and the world today, if you like to write, then you are welcome to join us.

It should be noted that our organisation is non-profit and the work of our staff is paid for exclusively by grants. Therefore, during the period of grant seeking and application, the NGO’s activities are carried out on a voluntary basis, and so our authors and editors work as volunteers. When we have grant-funded projects, we are able to pay decent salaries to our people. When we do receive funding, we focus on those participants who work with us on a volunteer basis and contribute as much as possible. This is our priority. So for you, new Truthful Reporting authors, this is not only an opportunity to add to your portfolio, but also to get paid work in your field and to work on various interesting projects.

We are also happy to work with new editors and translators who wish to become members of our NGO. Our editors proofread Ukrainian-language texts for errors, and translators produce English-language versions of materials.
